Spring 2010: CEFPI Northeast Regional Conference- Jeff Chambers, in partnership with Peter Lippman of JCJ Architecture, presented "What is "it" that makes a learning environment sustainable?" In short, "good practices" should drive the planner & design professional towards creating structures that embody all sustainable characteristics, not simply reproducing patterns for architecture that are driven by existing technologies and limited definitions. Winter 2009: After a great deal of study and two days of testing, Grace Fike became a NCIDQ certified interior designer. She is as ready as ever to take on your interiors project!
Fall 2009: Kevin, a local high school student, stopped by to learn more about becoming an architect. He got to see the day to day work of a community architecture firm.
Summer 2009: Construction to begin on the 3rd floor of Stengel Hall at Linden Hall.
April 2009: Jeff Chambers became a LEED Accredited Professional.
February 2009: Linden Hall Science Facility opens for use by students and faculty. This new state of the art facility will be open to the public during Lovin' Lititz Second Friday in Lititz, March 13th.
Summer 2008: The office adopts Revit Architecture, a Building Information Modeling system.
Summer 2008: Linden Hall Science Classrooms Renovation has been put out to bid. Project to be complete Feb 2009.
Spring 2008: Bermudian Springs High School Open House is a success.
Fall 2007: Grace Fike joins the firm as Designer.
Summer 2007: Construction at the Blossom Hill Mennonite Church is in full swing. The congregation is excited to see the changes with the construction of their brand new sanctuary and other community spaces.
October 2006: The Northeast Region of the Council of Educational Facility Planners International awarded Jeffrey D. Chambers the Regional Distinguished Service Award.
April 2006: Chambers & Associates, Incorporated Staff Changes: Ronald R. Snyder, AIA ( 26 years experience) joined firm as Project Architect.
January 2006: REFP – Recognized Educational Facility Professional is the mark of distinction in the educational facility planning profession. Practitioners who hold the REFP designation are challenged to expand their knowledge, competencies and skill level with the most contemporary and cutting edge training in the field.
October 2004: The Council of Educational Facility Planners International recently elected Jeffrey D. Chambers, NCARB, AIA as President for the Northeast Region at the group’s annual international conference held in San Antonio Texas. The council is the only professional association dedicated solely to the planning, designing and constructing of educational facilities worldwide. With more than 20 years experience in designing facilities for education, Jeff endeavors to create the best quality, contemporary learning environments needed for better education.
